Pray for one another that you might be healed

" praying for others and finding healing."
My most difficult times with MS were often around painful emotions like when my infant daughter Eva passed away in 1982 and a miscarriage in 1984. There were weeks, months and entire summers that Bethany would go to Tennessee and stay with her grandparents and I'd be home alone.
One time I'm pretty sure was in 1984 - I had my third miscarriage no Seth yet and we lived in a small apartment complex. Ed worked at ABC-40 and I was home alone because of the paralysis. Spending my time in the scriptures, meditation and worship.
There were 2 sisters that were also home alone because mom worked days that I soon made friends with. They kind of came over all the time anyways. I think they were 11 and 6 years old. By the end of the summer the oldest one didn't come over as much and was running around with an older group of kids. I thought to myself " it's just like me and my sister" and The Lord said " it's exactly like you and your sister "
My eyes were opened to what was going on. When Mom was at work her boyfriend who had moved in was with the girls but had been inappropriate with the oldest.
I began to pray her with groanings and tears and emotions that new exactly what she was going through, releasing and breaking bondages that controlled my own body and soul.  My prayers were specific to my understanding that she would be free from guilt. That she would not think it was her fault, that she wasn't dirty or a bad person. Everyone of my accusers being released praying for this girl. She was not going to be11 going on 20, she was not going to lose those years!

After talking with their mother she confronted the guy and chose her girls over him. What a blessing. She wanted what was best but being a single mom struggled financially so decided to move back home.
My last picture of the girls was a goodbye hug and she was holding her new teddy bear skipping off to the car headed for St Pete. Thank you Jesus she was a beautiful girl and both of us had been set free.

When Ed passed away January 19, 2013 the natural course of grieving was healthy because those tears cleanse the soul. There were prayer meetings for the hurting I attended. afterwards where my prayers were Fueled by those tears.

Jesus Calling Devotional

From Sarah Young's book, "Jesus Calling"---Jesus is your living God, far more abundantly alive than the most vivacious person you know. The human body is wonderfully crafted, but gravity & inevitable effects of aging weigh it down. Even the most superb athlete cannot maintain his fitness over many decades. Lasting abundant life can be found in Christ alone. Do not be anxious about the weakness of your body. Instead view it as a prelude to God's infusing energy into your being.
As you identify more & more fully with the Lord, His life becomes more increasingly intertwined with yours. Inwardly you grow stronger with the passing years. Those who live close to God develop an inner aliveness that makes them seem youthful in spite of the years. Let His Life shine through you as you walk in the Light with Christ.

Jesus the Healer

"Jesus the Healer" was the very first book I read after being diagnosed with MS. Most of my notes were dated in 1977. Its contents are almost a condensed version of every book I’ve read or quoted from these past 35 years. I can’t say which is my favorite part. Kenyon wrote for the spirit man, addressing the heart more than the head. Understanding the Father heart of God, who we are in Christ and the authority of the believer were central to his message. He was one of the first “name and claim it teachers” emphasizing spending time in the WORD "claim what you’ve read and meditated on."
‘Jesus the Healer’ by E W Kenyon is only 105 pages and available on audio CD and Kindle as well.

Songs in the night- Pastor Phil Derstine

“Men cry out under a load of oppression; they plead for relief from the arm of the powerful. But no one says, ‘Where is God my Maker, who gives songs in the night, who teaches more to us than to the beasts of the earth and makes us wiser than the birds of the air?” Job 35:9-11 (NIV)
Job’s friend gave a sad commentary in these verses. Why is it men neglect or sometimes refuse to call out to their Creator for help when they are oppressed? Do you know that Satan wants you to believe that it is just your “lot in life” to suffer? Well, he is WRONG!
Notice that this passage says that God gives “songs in the night.” Satan’s domain has always been equated with works of “darkness.” That is why burdens seem so much heavier in the middle of the night than they do in the bright light of day.
However, God has promised, in Malachi 4:2-3 that “unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings. . . and ye shall tread down the wicked. . . .“ Therein lies your relief and authority. By His Spirit, Jesus will bring a song of healing in the night hours or in the spiritual dark hours of your life. His Light will shine forth, showing you the way out. Embrace this promise today!
PRAY: “Where can I go but to You, Lord, when the darkness seems overwhelming. Thank You for the Light of Jesus shining in the night, giving me a song of hope and rest. Glory to Your holy Name! Amen.”

Sing a New Song- Pastor Phil Derstine

"Sing unto the Lord a new song, and his praise from the end of the earth, ye that go down to the sea, and all that is therein; the isles, and the inhabitants thereof.” Isaiah 42:10
Isaiah is issuing a command in this verse — a command that you sing a NEW SONG to the Lord from your heart. . . a song of rejoicing and thanksgiving for God’s delivering power in your life.
David expressed his joy in song. “[The Lord] hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God. . .
This song came after a great deliverance: “He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings.” David saw his life as a testimony to others. “Many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the Lord. “(See Psalm 40:1-3.)
Nothing can compare with the JOY God puts in the soul of a man He sets free from the bondage of sin. “Miry clay” represents your body which was formed from the dust of the earth. When your feet are placed upon the “Rock,” Christ Jesus, and the Holy Spirit directs your “goings “to and fro, “A NEW SONG” springs forth from your spirit, making your life a melody others love to hear.
Think on His goodness, and sing your song to the Lord today!
PRAY: “Father of all music, thank You for putting ‘a new songs’ in my heart. Give me the words and the melody, and I ask You to add another verse each day. In Jesus’ Name, I pray.

Dr Mercola- Insights on Multiple Sclerosis

Very Important to Address All Early Childhood Emotional Traumas
I also want to emphasize the emotional component of autoimmune disease.
Just as vitamin D deficiency seems to be present in most cases of autoimmune disease, there is also typically an emotional element involved.
More often than not, some form of hidden emotional wound can be found in patients suffering with autoimmune diseases like MS. Typically, this wounding occurred at a very young age, almost always before the age of seven; typically before the age of five.
At that age your consciousness is not yet well formed, and it’s easy to incur a serious emotional insult that would not have been nearly as devastating if you’d been a few years older.
Frequently, these emotional injuries result in physical damage decades later, and we’ve found that without effective intervention to address these underlying emotional injuries, you may not be able to get significantly better.
Strategies like meditation, prayer, and energy psychology techniques are particularly effective and need to be part of your overall treatment strategy in order to truly address the root of your illness.
By applying these principles and others available on this site, we’ve seen phenomenal results, and I'm confident that if you suffer from MS and apply them, you too will notice a dramatic improvement in your condition.

Knocking on the right door for your Miracle- by Billy Burke

Chapter 1 ‘Exhausting all avenues’ March 2011
“And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock and it shall be opened unto you. For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.” Luke 11:9-10
After 50 years I’ve done a whole lot of the above. Still am, cause it’s in the finding that a special sense of wholeness is found, and “that peace that passes understanding”
Each chapter a life lesson that has defined parts of my walk.
Door One: The Elders
Kinda was the first thing I did. With my inner healing it was being transparent with my junior high & high school spiritual leaders-Ralph & Mathel Ambrose and Phil & Jill Freeman which brought me into my salvation experience and baptism in the Holy Spirit. With my physical healing dealing specifically with the MS, Bro. Ken when at Liberty Bible College had a word that led me to a more nutritional walk. Bill & Barbara Stamp a forgiving walk.
It’s a constant to ‘call on the elders of the church’ when you are sick.
Door Two: Prayer of Agreement - powerful
Door Three: Gifts of the Holy Spirit -
Door Four: Speaking the Word of Faith
Door Five: The Word of God
Door Six: Forgiveness as a Force
Door Seven: Holy Communion
Door Eight: Obeying the Holy Spirit
Door Nine: Temple Care (Diet, Rest and Exercise)
Door Ten: Mix of Medicine and Miracles I’ll continue to comment on each but ‘Temple Care & Mix of Medicine and Miracles’ seems to be where I am.

Healing the Heart- Joan Hunter

Joan's parents were Charles & Frances Hunter, great healing evangelists in the 60's-80's. When Joan faced physical trauma she imediatley knew what to do. But after both her parents died, going through breast cancer & a divorce she learned the common thread of how emotional pains feed doubt and unbelief. Her's are personally tested words.
It's been raining outside today so this thought from Chapter 8 "Are You determined to be Healed" sorta hits home...
'When the storms of life come, there are three main things we can do;
1. Rebuke the storm- Rebuke the situation and it will flee.
2. Walk it out with Him- If the storm doesn't abate when you speak to it, know that you can walk through the storm. God is there beside you and HE will keep you protected even as the wind and rain swirl around you.
3. Wait- If the storm still continues to rage, know that this is something that you must go through in your life, but it will not last forever. Wait in faith for it to end, and know that God is perfecting you through the trial.'

A Place of HEALING by Joni Eareckson Tada

Is good meditation for those dealing with a medical condition for decades from someone who has been doing it in the public eye. I like a brief story Joni shares of a young man who felt a strong ambition to pray for her. Approaching her in a parking lot … “Have you ever considered that it might be sin standing in the way of your healing? That you’ve disobeyed in some way? He then told the story of the friends lowering the paralytic through the roof of the house who was healed when Jesus prayed for him. “You too could be healed if you confess your sin and have faith to believe.” He added “Joni, there must be sin in your life that you haven’t dealt with yet.” Joni said well my conscience is clear and thanked him for his concern. The guy just didn’t get it. He had prayed she should be healed. Finally she drew his attention to the rest of the verse, “Jesus saw the faith of the four friends and the man was made well” God didn’t require faith of the paralyzed man. But he could require yours.”
I love this and appreciate her perspective in many ways and will continue to believe in "the prayer of faith" (AMAZON will let you read the 1st chapter)

The Survivors Club--Ben Sherwood

"The secrets and science that could change your life"

"...discover how some people are born with a Resilience Gene that actually protects them in the worst knocks in life." The research is great with many stories
I watched the drama of the Chilean mine workers with the rest of the world. FOX news did an interview with Mr Sherwood, they discussed the most important survivor tool in crisis is faith.
The US Navy survivor manual also teaches Faith in God as the number one survivor tool. "Faith is a force multiplier" Praise God for prayer, for verses memorized in Sunday School, for hope-realistic optimism & His grace.

Bethany's Worship CD

http://www.wix.com/bethanyabrah/bethany-abrah

Music she produced when pursuing Hillsong, Australia. Not raising enough funds wasn't all bad, this CD is great consolation. It is a gift that leads you into the secret place and is wonderful meditation.
What makes this appropriate to 'A Clearinghouse for Healing' is it lets me talk about worship and just how wonderful worship is to the body & soul.

I began to realize after bouts with paralysis because of the MS, that I could stand, walk, dance, raise my arms, simply had more endurance while participating in a worship service. So why not take that presence-anointing with you in and through everything? He is present while we worship because "He inhabits the praises of His people" & "in His presence is fullness of joy" then it's "the joy of the Lord that is my strength" Loving the Word and Fellowship with the Lord is what has kept me these over 30 years with multiple sclerosis

Bodily Healing and the Atonement

By Dr T.J. Mc Crossan The first book I studied after my diagnosis in 1977 part of Kenneth Hagin's Faith Library. 98 pages published in 1930.
"God used to heal the sick, and He is an unchangeable God"
This book is great meditation.

Billy Burke came to Christian Retreat last week.
‘Healed of Terminal Brain CancerAt the early age of 9 Billy met the Healing Jesus!Stricken with this disease and just days to live, Billy through his grandmother, was introduced to the ministry of Kathryn Kuhlman. Miss Kuhlman called Billy out of the crowd and asked him, “Do you believe?” Then she touched him and in a moment, all the cancer was gone.
http://www.billyburke.org/lifestory.html

I purchased a CD series 'Empowered to keep your Healing Miracle'
Haven't gotten to it yet, but I shared with the women at the table that I'd heard Billy many times and had been walking with MS for over 30 years, that I'd had several God Encounters and wanted something for a healing atmosphere and meditation. I think she was Billy's wife.
She came up to me later and escorted me front for prayer.
I don’t go chasing every “faith healer” but believe there are those with the gift of healing.

There is the temptation of seeking the healing above seeking The Healer.

I have been prayed for often. Benny Hinn called me out of the audience and prayed for me on TV once. Charles, Frances & Joan Hunter have prayed for me, Norvel Hayes & Harold Bredesen Faith teachers while I was in Bible College in the late 70's, Ken Sumrall my pastor when I was first diagnosed, Phil Derstine my pastor today have all prayed. I’ve called on the elders of the church and agreed in prayer with my husband and family.

Often the Lord will heal someone instantly. Then there seem to be those like the man born blind, that the Lord wants to use to manifest Himself in using their weaknesses.
I still have pain and often use a walker or cane. Do I think I have sin in my life or for some reason am not right with God? NO

I’ve felt His touched. I’ve heard His voice. I’ve known His presence in all of this.
I will continue to pray and be prayed for. The Word says ‘pray for one another that you might be healed’ and ‘the Lord restored the fortunes of Job when he prayed for his friends’

I believe in healing. Read the scriptures, say them, hear yourself saying them.

Victorious Ministry Through Christ

http://www.vmtc.org/

"The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because He has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed..."Luke 4:18

In my 30+ years of growing in intimacy with the Healer this ministry has meant the most to me. I have been healed and received deliverance of strongholds that bound me for years. An evening in prayer counseling is like surgery of the soul... confessing, cleansing, crying, claiming wholeness.

Victorious Ministry Through Christ VMTC Prayer Ministry is a means God uses to bring His gifts of the Spirit to bear in a person's life in a deeper fashion, while he/she is surrounded by the Love of God. This frees the Fruit of the Spirit to grow and mature in the person receiving ministry. (Ephesians 4: 22-24

The VMTC Experience Here is a safe island away from your surroundings... hidden in the Victory of the Cross. Here we participate in loving, listening, and believing prayer through which the wounded soldier is healed by the Lord.

Spiritual Roots of Disease

A More Excellent Way by Pastor Henry Wright
http://www.beinhealth.com/public/?theme=bih_r1

In my wanting to make reference to those I have learned from in my healing adventure this is an excellent book to research and study on the roots of diseases, designed to sow seed of knowledge of our problems being spiritual, psychological and biological.

Pastor Wright discusses many specific diseases, generational blessings and curses, fear, stresses & physiology, Teaching on Romans 7 and Spiritual Blocks to Healing.

For example what he has to say about MS;
Physically- it's when the white corpuscles decide that the myelin sheath of the nerve is the enemy and so like a modern day Pac-Man take a bite out of the coating around the nerve damaging not only the coating but the nerve itself. (Damage to the nerve itself is a recent claim, for years it was only thought to be the myelin sheath.)
Spiritually- "MS is rooted in deep, deep self hatred and guilt, and involves a fathers rejection" The father not the mother, is responsible for the daughters value system and her self-esteem
www.mindsync.com/lam/root.htm is another site listing specific diseases and their spiritual roots

I also like how Louise Hay says in 'Heal your body: the mental causes for physical illness.'
You will find a picture of the probable cause for a specific health issue and the information you need to overcome it by creating a new thought pattern.
To me this is all part of taking steps towards "putting on:
'the spiritual mind, the mind of Christ, the spiritual armour, whatsoever is true'"

I am believing for a creative miracle to damaged nerves where the sheath has been destroyed. In Jesus name.
